Canyon Creek is a local classic, but is mostly unknown outside our area. If you’re into huge descents and have the lungs and legs to earn it, this ride will not disappoint. If you’ve done the Crest, and the Alpine Tunnel and need some more amazing high country riding that will test your stamina, this is your ride.
The ride starts at the Snowblind Campground, climbs Tomichi Pass Rd and is capped by a mile-long steep hike-a-bike up to nearly 13,000 feet. The reward is a raucous, fast, 11-mile riot of a downhill that just goes on and on. Sounds hard? It is. But the views at the top and the downhill are worth it!
