Absolute Bike Shop
Since we opened our doors in Salida in 1999. We’ve worked tirelessly to make our shop one of the top 100 in the United States. We carry a full line of bikes, including full suspension, 29ers, singlespeeds, cruisers, pump track bikes, and road bikes. Our shop also offers all accessories, bike trailers, clothing for men and women, hydration packs and much more. It’s everything you need for a ride around town, a full day mountain bike ride on single-track or even a tour across the United States.
We also strive to provide excellent service through both our sales and repairs departments. Our owner Shawn Gillis is a certified Specialized Body Geometry Bike Fitter. Our shop includes a separate fitting area to make sure that your bike is fit your body perfectly to insure better more comfortable rides.
In our repairs department, we offer fast, friendly, complete, professional service. Our head mechanic Scot Banks is certified by USA Cycling. We always have at least two full time mechanics working and no job is too big or too small – anything from fixing flats for neighborhood kids on bmx bikes to conducting late night emergency repairs on bikes for racers in the Great Divide Mountain Bike Race.
Absolute Bikes has always strived to be an integral part of the Salida community and each year we support dozens of events and races. Some of these include support and sponsorship of the new Salida Mountain Trails area, design and construction of the Salida Pump Track, sponsorship of the South Central Racing team and the Safe Routes to Schools Program.
